Overview

Rift Helium is building a primary helium supply for technologies reshaping the world. We operate with a long-term view, prioritising safe execution, transparent reporting, and genuine partnership with the communities and institutions where we work.

Primary helium is not tied to hydrocarbon production. That independence supports a cleaner supply pathway and reduces exposure to legacy oil and gas dynamics

Our ESG Commitments

Environment

We aim to minimise environmental impact across exploration and development, and to design decisions that reduce risk from the start. Our approach:
 

• Low-impact exploration: Plan work to minimise land disturbance, manage access, and reduce unnecessary footprint.
• Water and waste management: Clear handling procedures for storage, disposal, and spill prevention.
• Compliance by default: Meet or exceed local regulatory requirements and permitting conditions.
• Monitoring and improvement: Track performance as activity scales and publish updates as reporting becomes more robust.

Social

Social licence is earned through behaviour, not statements. We work in genuine partnership with local communities and government, with respect for place, livelihoods, and long-term benefit. Our approach:
 

• Local partnership: Engage early and consistently with stakeholders across the project lifecycle.
• Local capability: Prioritise local employment, training, and in-country suppliers where feasible.
• Grievance mechanisms: Provide clear, accessible routes for raising concerns and receiving responses.
• Community investment: Support practical initiatives that align with local needs and project reality.

Health and Safety

Safe execution is non-negotiable. We maintain a comprehensive health and safety programme that evolves as the project advances. Our approach:
 

• Hazard identification and control: Structured risk assessment for each activity and contractor scope.
• Training and accountability: Clear roles, inductions, and safety expectations for all personnel.
• Incident learning: Lessons learned are captured, shared, and implemented to prevent recurrence. 

Governance and Ethics

We operate with transparency and discipline because credibility matters in exploration and capital markets. Our approach:
 

• Clear governance: Defined decision-making, oversight, and accountability across the business.
• Anti-bribery and corruption: Zero tolerance. Expectations extend to suppliers and partners.
• Responsible procurement: Preference for ethical suppliers and local capability where possible.
• Reporting standards: ESG disclosures will expand in line with project maturity and public market requirements.

Reporting and Disclosures

As the business develops, ESG reporting will become more detailed and more frequent. We will publish updates that are specific, evidence-led, and easy to verify, including energy and emissions reporting where applicable. 

Alignment

We support internationally recognised principles for responsible business and sustainable development, and will continue to refine our ESG framework as activity scales.
